SKINCARE PRODUCTS I'VE BEEN LOVING RECENTLY...

dehydrated dry sensitive skin
I've mentioned a couple of times on here and Twitter that my skin has done a complete 180 over the past couple of months and has gone from being on the oily side of combination to extremely dehydrated with slight dryness and a lot of sensitivity/redness. It's been really difficult trying to find a skincare range which doesn't leave my skin feeling so super tight and sore that I can barely smile, but thankfully I've managed to find a couple of little miracle workers over the past couple of weeks that I wanted to have a little rave about today...
superdrug vitamin e moisturiser and serum
The Superdrug Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream £2.99 sounded like exactly what my skin needed for a major hit of moisture and I love that it's suitable for both morning and evening use (is it just me that finds it really irritating having to buy a separate one for each?!) This has a really thick, creamy texture which I try to take my time really massaging into my skin and it manages to be super moisturising without being greasy in the slightest. I noticed a huge difference in my dryness and dehydration within a couple of days of using this so it gets a massive thumbs up from me and is one I can see myself buying again and again. I'd never been fully sold on serums before trying this Superdrug Vitamin E Moisture Boost Facial Serum £3.99, but my oh my I definitely couldn't cope without this in my routine now! It's quite a light consistency which is really easy to quickly smooth all over your face and for any other dehydrated skin sufferers this is an absolute must; it's been kind of the cherry on top of the cake for sorting out my skin and I've noticed an improvement in my spot scarring since introducing this into my routine too :) Massive thumbs up Superdrug!
the body shop pink grapefruit beautifying oil
The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Beautifying Oil £10 is a product I fell in love with a couple of years ago and it's one of those products that I really don't know why I stopped using. I like to apply this like a face mask just before I go to bed and leave it on overnight to really absorb into my skin and work it's magic. I find that this really helps to keep my spots at bay whilst adding some extra nourishment and I love love love the smell (mmm it just instantly makes me think of summer!)
superdrug vitamin e hot cloth cleanser
The Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser £4.99 is another product which I've used (and loved!) before and I truthfully don't ever see myself straying away from it again! I use this every morning and it's just the loveliest, creamy, nourishing formula which has a really comforting smell too. I used to always have that awful tight, uncomfortable feeling whenever I washed my face before I started using this but it's completely gone now, so I think this is brilliant for dehydration and whilst it does leave my skin looking a little pink (every product seems to though!) it doesn't make it sore or tingly (unlike the majority of cleansers I've tried!)
I've been wanting to try the Mac Strobe Cream for a while but I haven't been able to justify it's hefty price tag (it's one of those products I'm afraid to try and fall in love with as I won't be able to afford to replace it regularly!) so I thought the Simple Illuminating Radiance Cream £6.59 might be a good alternative and I've really been enjoying using it over the past couple of weeks. I use it underneath my Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream and it gives a really glowing, dewy look which I love for this time of year, plus I like that it gives my skin an extra moisture boost (you can probably tell from this post that I'm a little bit obsessed with giving my dehydrated skin as much moisture as possible!) This would be a great product to take on holiday with you too and pop on for a day at the beach as it gives your skin a radiant finish without being an actual makeup product :)

Have you tried any of these products? I'd love to hear what you think of them :)

Love Holly xo
