collection illuminating touch foundation
I always look for a 'your skin but better' kind of look when it comes to foundation and I like formulas which give my skin a healthy glow. The Collection 'Illuminating Touch' Foundation promises to 'give skin a natural luminosity with a light, silky, soft texture' so for £5.99 I had high hopes I was onto a winner with this one.

This definitely lives up to it's dewy description and it makes my skin look super healthy and glowy without a hint of shimmer. It's a similar finish to the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum (which is currently my favourite foundation) but it's a bit more dewy and has a slightly higher coverage. It applies and blends very easily and I like to pat it around my face using my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge as I find this gives the most seamless finish.

The only thing that really lets this down for me is the shade range; there aren't a huge amount of options and unfortunately the palest shade is too dark for me :( With it being called 'porcelain' I really thought it was going to be ok for my casper complexion, but it's just too orange toned. I also found it separated a little around my chin and nose towards the end of the day, so it's definitely one that needs to be used alongside a good primer and setting powder and I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin.

Have you tried this foundation? I'd love to know what you think of it and if you have any other recommendations for me :)

  1. I love collection products but I definitely agree with you because I couldn't find a shade that had a good undertone to suit me. I loved the consistency though so maybe I should find something to mix with it :)

    1. By the way I nominated you for the Liebster award because your blog is so amazing and I love reading!! :) http://alongcamekathy.blogspot.co.nz/2016/03/the-liebster-tag.html

  2. I find Collection foundations always to be orange! Im pretty pale and the shades stop me buying anything from them anymore.

  3. I have this and while it's a little too low-coverage for me, I think I'll like it much more in the summer :) Shame the shade range didn't suit you though, could definitely do with improving!

  4. It sounds interesting this foundation, but I have so many foundations that I've hoarded so I need to get through them haha!

  5. I always struggle with finding a light enough foundation, so I definitely understand the struggle. They always lean so yellow I find. Really wish I was able to get Collection products easily in Canada, overall the brand seems great!
