A FEW BEAUTY BITS I'VE BEEN LOVING RECENTLY...

lancome juicy shakers
Lancome Juicy Shakers 'Freedom of Peach' & 'Cherry Symphony' (PR Samples) - With the warmer weather *hopefully* on it's way, I always like to switch up my makeup for a lighter, more natural look and I can definitely see these Lancome Juicy Shakers being my lip product of choice this spring/summer. I had to seriously pinch myself when I received an email asking if I'd like to try them and the pretty pink packaging they arrived in along with the cutest bottle of jelly beans was basically the highlight of my week last week! I absolutely love the cocktail inspired packaging and the spongey applicator is so soft and comfortable on the lips making application a dream. They honestly smell (and taste!) SO incredible and how cool are the shade names?! I've been wearing Freedom of Peach constantly since these arrived last Tuesday and I find they're pretty long lasting for a lipgloss if you wear a lip liner underneath :) #bantheboring
essie fiji & a cut above
Essie Nail Polishes 'Fiji' & 'A Cut Above' - If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram you've probably already seen me raving about these; I'm just besotted with them! They're the prettiest nail polishes I've ever owned and they're going to be so perfect for Spring :) I like to wear a thin layer of 'A Cut Above' over 'Fiji' on two of my nails on each hand and I'm not gonna lie, none of my other polishes have had a look in since I got these little beauties!!
Newlook 'Pure Blush' Eau De Parfum - I was really excited when I found that Newlook had released a range of perfumes as I'm always on the search for pretty, affordable, everyday scents. I completely fell in love with this bottle and thought it would look really nice on my dressing table, so when I discovered that this smells really similar to Chanel Coco Mademoiselle I had to control myself from running to the till like a loon! At £7.99 it's an absolute bargain and it lasts really well throughout the day too :)
veeda towels & tampons
Veeda 100% Natural Cotton Towels & Tampons (PR Samples) - I haven't featured 'womanly' type products on here before, but they're such an essential for us girlies and I've been really impressed with the Veeda products so I really wanted to talk about them. I have to admit I never really considered the chemicals/materials my womanly products were made from before, but after learning that using products made from cotton with no chemicals/synthetics/dyes helps to reduce the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome when using tampons, I definitely won't be using any other brands now. The towels are super soft and comfortable to wear and whilst I don't really get on with applicator free tampons, I'm looking forward to trying some of the applicator ones next month. Veeda products are available to buy from Boots and they're a really similar price to most of the more well known brands which I was pleasantly surprised to discover as I thought being made from 100% natural cotton would make them much more expensive!

What have you been loving recently? I'd love to hear any recommendations :)

Love Holly xo

  4. I love the look of the Lancome Juicy Shakers, great colours for spring & summer too. I've had Essie Fiji for a while, but never found a why to wear it that I've really liked. I'm definitely going to try it with a glitter now! Xx
