RECENT BEAUTY FAVOURITES

simple skincare
Simple Skincare - After having facials every week at college between September and December my skin went absolutely crazy with soreness, redness, dehydration and some of the worst breakouts I've ever had. I decided to give Simple skincare a try to hopefully calm things down and my goodness me, I cannot even begin to explain how much of a life saviour these products have been! After just a couple of days of using them my blemishes finally settled down and I'm now spot free for the first time in months. My skin's been feeling much healthier and nourished rather than sore/tight, and I've noticed a big improvement in my redness too.
freedom makeup pink lipstick

Freedom Makeup 'Flushed' Lipstick - I haven't been able to stop wearing this lipstick since I got it in my stocking for Christmas; it's such a pretty mauve toned pink and I think it works really well with my pale skin tone and dark hair. I love wearing it with a simple black eyeliner flick or metallic eyeshadow and I'm really impressed with the formula too as it's really creamy and comfortable to apply.
makeup revolution pro fix spray
Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Oil Control Fixing Spray - I bought this just before Christmas and I haven't gone a day without using it since! I've noticed such a difference in how well my makeup lasts throughout the day when I use this and it definitely helps to keep my shiny forehead under control too. You do have to spray it quite far away from the face and wait until your mascara is completely dry as it can be a little wet, but it dries in a minute or two and I'm a little bit in love with the sweet smell of this too!
essie cuticle oil
Essie Cuticle Oil - I have a bit of a nightmare with my cuticles as they became really overgrown and dry last summer and ever since then I've had to push them back and trim off the excess nearly every week. I hadn't tried a cuticle oil before but the difference in the strength and condition of my nails after using this over the past month has been crazy and I've started to notice a big improvement in my cuticles too :)

Love Holly xo

  5. Sadly, my skin and simple aren't friends. Simple is a fantastic brand but it just doesn't do anything for my skin! I love the colour of the lipstick and the setting spray sounds great xxx

    1. Oh that's such a shame lovely :( I used it a few years ago and didn't get on with it at all but it seems to have done wonders this time round. It's such a pretty colour isn't it, perfect for this time of year :) xxx
