A FEW OF THE LOVELY PRESENTS I RECEIVED FOR CHRISTMAS

How on earth has it been a whole week since Christmas?! I had intended to get this post up several days ago, but I haven't been very well this week with my chronic illness and the lighting has been seriously difficult to work with. I've been worrying whether I should still post it or not, but I really wanted to and the festive season isn't officially over until tomorrow in my mind so I'm hoping I'm just getting it up in the nick of time ;) I know these posts are always a little controversial but I personally love reading them and I can't stress enough how massively grateful I am for all of the lovely gifts I was lucky enough to receive.
Makeup Revolution 144 Eyeshadow Palette - This was the present I was most excited to receive in my stocking from the Mr; I'd been lusting over it basically throughout the whole of November and December and I have to admit I've well and truly become a Makeup Revolution addict. Their products are so reasonably priced but everything I've tried from them has been amazing quality. I've been in my complete element choosing which eyeshadow to wear each day over the past week and I have to admit none of my other palettes have had a look in since I got my hands on this little baby! The colours are all super pigmented with very little fall out and this basically caters for any type of makeup look you could want to create :) I'm planning to do a lot more makeup looks on my blog this year so I know this is going to come in super handy and I don't see myself buying any eyeshadows for quite some time now!
Soap & Glory 'Scents of Occasion' Gift Set - This Soap & Glory body fragrance set contains all of my favourite scents and I'm in love with the pretty pink packaging too; I don't think I'm going to be able to throw it away! 'Mist You Madly' is the only one of these I'd tried before but the others all smell amazing too and I think they're a really good budget option for every day fragrances :) Soap & Glory completely knocked it out of the park with their Christmas gift sets this year and I may have treated myself to a couple more in the Boots half price sale too oops (they'll be making an appearance on here next week if you want to see what else I got!)
Soap & Glory 'Three Times Butter' Gift Set - I'm a huge fan of Soap & Glory body butters as they're super moisturising without being sticky and they smell incredible, so I'm super excited to use all of these :) One of my new years resolutions is to regularly exfoliate and moisturise my skin as I'm horrendous at remembering to do it and I've read so many times how important it is for keeping your skin healthy, so I've got no excuse now I've got these little beauties!
Makeup Revolution 'Ultra Metals' Makeup Brushes - I can't even explain my excitement to have these in my life!!! They are the softest, dreamiest brushes I've ever touched and they've made a very satisfying substitution for the Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection which I just can't justify. I love the rose gold handles and they're honestly such amazing quality for their budget price - I'll be sharing a full review very soon :)
John Frieda 'Brilliant Brunette' Shampoo & Conditioner - Since changing my hair from bright blonde to dark brown two years ago it's felt like I've been in a constant battle to stop it from fading. Sometimes I feel like I've got it just the right shade, and then my roots come through and I dye it again and the colour just doesn't seem to want to stick. I asked my Mumma for these to see if they'd help and my oh my, I'm in love! I've got a full review coming very soon, but I can safely say they're the best shampoo and conditioner I've ever tried and they smell immense too ;)
Nicki Minaj 'Minajesty' Eau De Parfum - My sister always chooses me the most beautiful perfumes and how amazing is the bottle too?! This is quite a girly and floral scent which is right up my street and I've worn it every day since Christmas; I'm so in love with it :) The scent is super long lasting and you only need a little bit to get a really strong smell so I can see it lasting ages.

What did you get for Christmas? I'd love to read your post if you've done one like this :)

Happy New Year <3

Love Holly xo

  8. I read this yesterday but I swear I had commented! You got some gorgeous products - my sister got the Nicki Minaj perfume too and it's such a lovely perfume. The MUR brushes look like good dupes for the Bold Metals collection; I have a feeling you'll be featuring them on your blog soon! Such a good post, I liked the insight to what you got! xx
