15 BEAUTY FAVOURITES FROM 2015

1. Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer £5.49 - I went through two bottles of this during 2015 and it's well and truly cemented itself as my holy grail concealer. It comes in four different shades and Ivory is perfect for us pale girlies! I mainly use it for brightening my under eyes but it works really well at covering redness too. The reason why I love it so much though is the consistency; it's creamy without being runny and just blends like an absolute dream! It gives a super seamless finish which doesn't crease at all and it lasts perfectly all day too - top points Rimmel, top points :)

2. Soap & Glory Clean On Me Creamy Clarifying Shower Gel 500ml £6.50 - I've always had a pretty big soft spot for Soap & Glory but I feel like 2015 was the year that I became a complete addict. The original scent has always been my favourite and I just think this shower gel is such good value for money; it lasts for months and leaves the skin feeling so soft and moisturised thanks to the built in body lotion.

3. Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush & Contour 'Golden Sugar' Palette £6 - I've always found blusher and bronzer a little problematic with my pale skintone (and I've only very recently been brave enough to tentatively dip my toes into the world of contouring!) but this is honestly a pale girl's dream! I love how pretty the blushers and highlight shade are with the marble effect and all of the colours are absolutely beautiful whilst being super wearable. You can see me raving about it in this post and the fact it's nearly always sold out just proves how amazing it is (p.s. it's in stock on the Makeup Revolution website at the moment if you're wanting to get your hands on one!)

4. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation £10.99 - I was in two minds about whether to include this as I'm actually embarking on a little foundation mission this year to find the perfect drugstore formula. I'm going to be reviewing a budget foundation every month and then in December I'll do a roundup post to reveal the winner. I'm including this one because currently it is my favourite foundation ever, but unfortunately the palest shade is a smidge too dark for me (literally breaks my heart so much!) :( I love the coverage and formula as it's like a mix of a foundation and BB cream which is super easy to apply and blend and it lasts really well throughout the day too. I'm excited to see if I can find another formula this year which I love as much but matches my casper complexion a little better!

5. Next Just Pink Hand Wash £3 - My Mumma got me this for my birthday and I've been completely obsessed ever since; it smells just like the perfume (which is my favourite scent ever) so leaves your hands smelling beautiful and is just so much more of a treat than my usual Carex soaps! I can't find it on the website but I've seen it in loads of my local stores so I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed that it wasn't limited edition for Christmas as I'll be completely heartbroken!!

6. Rimmel Nail Polishes £2.99 each - I've written a rave review about these here and I still harp on about them to anyone who will listen! They genuinely are the most chip resistant formula I've ever tried and I find I can get up to three or four days (working in retail!) wear out of them :) The colour range is fantastic and the thick, slightly pointed brush makes application super easy; they're my little miracle find and I honestly can't recommend them enough.

7. Una Brennan Superfacialist Rose Hydrate Creamy Cleanser £7 - I've seen a lot of rave reviews about the Una Brennan range and it honestly does deserve every single ounce of praise. I've reviewed a couple of the products here but this has been the biggest game changer for me; as a sufferer of dehydrated, sensitive skin this is basically the most perfect formula for me and I've noticed a huge improvement in the redness and texture of my skin since introducing it into my daily routine. It smells incredible too; I'm a little bit obsessed with rose water *major heart eyed emoji moment*

8. The Body Shop Argan Oil Lip Butter £4 - This has absolutely saved my lips since I started using it in the summer and although I use it several times every single day I've only just had to buy a new pot so it's seriously good value for money too. It smells and tastes absolutely incredible and is so conditioning for even super dry lips.

9. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge £5.99 - This has definitely been my favourite find of 2015; it's honestly changed my life (well, the life of my foundation no need to be dramatic or anything) I love how soft and squidgey it is and it makes application and blending a complete dream. You can see me raving about it in this post, but believe me - you need one of these in your life!!

10. Zara Apple Juice Eau De Toilette £7.99 - I've been pretty obsessed with this perfume since I bought it in September and I always get people asking me what I'm wearing whenever I use it :) It manages to be both floral and fruity and makes a perfect daytime scent, plus it's a bargain for a 100ml bottle.

11. V05 Give Me Texture Dry Texturising Spray £4.19 - This has been my little miracle worker at giving my hair some much needed volume and body and it makes such a difference when I'm going for a wavy look; it just adds life and oomph to both wavy and straight hair and I couldn't be without it now!

12. Kiko Long Lasting 'Light Taupe' Eyeshadow Stick £6.90 - I visited the Kiko Brighton store in the summer and I've been meaning to place an order from their website ever since as I've been really impressed with everything I brought. This has been the stand out item for me though as it's really easy to apply and blend and literally lasts all day! It has a little shimmer going through it which I love too :)

13. Soap & Glory Heel Genuis Foot Cream £5.50 - Being a retail worker who stands on their feet all day, this is a complete essential for when I get home in the evening! It makes such a difference in reducing hard skin and relieving tired, throbbing soles and it smells incredible too :)

14. Superdrug Style Expertise Hairspray £2.99 - I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with hairspray, but this honestly ticks all of the boxes. I like to use it to keep everything in place when my hair is straight and to make my waves last longer when I've curled it too. It's completely invisible in the hair and doesn't leave it sticky in the slightest, plus it's very often on offer in Superdrug so is a completely bargain.

15. Rimmel The Only One Lipstick 'Under My Spell' £6.99 - I really need to buy some more shades of these as it's probably my favourite lipstick formula ever! It's super long lasting and really comfortable to apply as it's quite creamy and moisturising. Berry toned lip products are always my favourites and I wear this one all the time :)

  4. Great post Holly! I absolutely love Rimmel's wake me up concealer too, a definite favourite of mine! Also adore KIKO's shadow sticks, but I haven't got that shade so I'll definitely have to take a look next time I'm in store, it sounds lovely! xx

  5. Ahh this is so helpful for me, as I have limited knowledge of makeup and skin care haha. I'm the same when I discover a formula I like, I end up owning almost just that brand!
