I've desperately wanted a beauty advent calendar for the past couple of years, but they've always been a little out of my price zone, so I was super excited to get my hands on one of Tanya Burr's for £15 back in November. The temptation to peak inside when I first bought it home was insane, but I was very strict with myself and avoided all reviews of it online so that each day could be a complete surprise :) It was a '12 days of Christmas' calendar and after much deliberation I decided I would open it every other day throughout December to make it last the whole month and give me a chance to really enjoy using the products. Technically I should have opened the last day tomorrow, but I only had a chance to photograph the items today (winter lighting is causing me so many problems at the moment!!)
This cute little pink heart mirror has been one of my favourite items as it's the perfect size for taking around with me in my handbag and my old one had a big crack in it so I'd been meaning to get a new one for ages. It matches her gold glittery makeup bag really well and although the heart shape is probably aimed at a younger age range I love it :)
I've already shared my love for the Creme Brûlée Eyeshadow Shimmer Pot in my festive makeup post and although I haven't tried Starry Night yet, I'm sure I'm going to love it just as much and I can imagine it'll create a really gorgeous smokey eye. They're super pigmented and really easy to apply and blend with very little fall out. I'm really hoping she'll release some more shades of these in her main makeup line as I love them so much and they're one of the best eyeshadow formulas I've ever tried :)
These little nail files were probably the least exciting thing to open, but I really love the pale pink and gold detail and they're a perfect mini size for carrying around in my handbag as I always find I need a nail file when I'm out and about and never seem to have one with me!
I cannot rave about these lip glosses enough; I've been wearing them all month and I'm obsessed with each of the colours. Macaroon is a really pretty peach which will be perfect for spring time but also works really well for day time at the moment if I've got a dramatic eye look going on. I raved about Bewitching in my festive makeup look post and I think it might be my christmas day lip product this year too :) Candy Frost is such a girly, pretty pink which is much less scary looking on the lips than in the tube, plus I think the name is so cute! I think the formula of these is spot on as they aren't sticky in the slightest and I love the classy gold packaging too.
I haven't had a chance to try these yet but I'm so excited to - they're such gorgeous colours and as you've probably realised I'm obsessed with sparkly nails for this time of year! I love the names Under The Sea and Carnival Night too; Tanya always gets her product names spot on and I love how they have a little bit of personality too :)
I am SO excited to give these a try as I've heard really good things about her lashes and they always look gorgeous when she wears them in her Youtube videos. I'm thinking of wearing the more subtle ones on Christmas day so will definitely share a selfie if I do :) I've never worn fake lashes before but I really want to get more confident with them so I'm excited to have a try!

3 more sleeps to go!!

Love Holly xo
