THE PERFECT BLUSHER FOR PALE GIRLS

L'Oreal 'Sandalwood Pink' Blusher £7.69
I've always had a bit of a love/hate relationship with blusher and often find myself looking back at photos in horror as my cheeks have had some serious clown action going on. I'm ridiculously pale so blusher is always very prominent on me no matter how sparingly I try to apply it, but a couple of weeks ago I decided to throw all of my blushers away because I realised they just weren't working for me at all.
I went into Boots with the intention of buying a peachy pink power based blush that would complement my neutral eyeshadows and pink lipsticks and after a lot of swatching I decided to try this L'Oreal one. It honestly is the most perfect shade I've ever found and gives that 'English Rose' flushed cheeks look which I completely love. I like to just dust some on the apples of my cheeks and I feel like my make-up has *hopefully* been looking more sophisticated since I introduced this into my daily routine.
It's very pigmented even though it's such a subtle shade so it doesn't take much work at all and oh my goodness it smells so gorgeous, kind of like raspberries! I know its odd for a blusher to smell so nice but honestly it's a thing of beauty; every morning when I'm swirling my Real Techniques blusher brush around I just can't get enough of it :)

What's your favourite blusher? Let me know if you're going to give this one a try or if you have any other recommendations for me :)

  1. I love that your blogging about this, because I'm pale too! I don't normally wear blusher, but if I do need it, I'll know where to go! x

  2. I also don't often wear blusher, find it so hard to pull off! I will have to try this one as it does sound really good. The little brush is super cute too! x
