HOMEWARE WISHLIST

On Thursday James is having a meeting with our solicitor to *hopefully* exchange contracts for our new apartment - I still can't believe it's actually really happening I have to keep pinching myself! We've been living together for three years but buying somewhere is so much more exciting than renting and the new place is honestly so so beautiful I don't think I've ever been more in love. We first went to view it at the end of November and ever since then I've been having little plans and ideas going round in my head of how I want to decorate it but at the same time I've been trying really hard to not get my hopes up just in case something went wrong and it fell through. Our moving date is set to be the 7th March so we really haven't got too long to wait now and after ordering our new sofa and this amazing 'cuddler' arm chair with a really cool foot stool (totally going to be my new blogging chair!) at the weekend it's starting to feel like much more of a reality rather than just some amazing dream. Although I love how we have our current flat there are a few bits and pieces I want to get for the new place to make it really homely and it's always nice to have a little refresh when you move isn't it :)
Mauve Cushion - Next / Shabby Chic Photo Frame - Gifts & Pieces / Mauve Fake Flowers - Next / Mirror - Dunelm / Wicker Basket - Dunelm / Blair Waldorf Quote - Gifts & Pieces / Milk Jug - Dunelm / Sugar Pot - Dunelm / Bread Bin - Dunelm / Glass Jar - Dunelm

I've completely fallen in love with this pastel floral kitchen range from Dunelm Mill. It all started because we need a new bread bin and the other ones I've seen are just plain silver, so this one really stood out and then I spotted the rest of the range and I was just besotted. Although the kitchen stuff I have at the moment is really lovely I just can't stop thinking about this range and it would look so beautiful with my pink kettle, toaster and electric whisk (have I justified it enough for me to buy it yet?!) Whether I end up getting the whole range or not, I'm definitely going to have to get the little milk jug because how cute is it?! Our new sofa is a charcoal grey so I think mauve accessories for the living room will work really well and I really love how classy and sophisticated these fake peonies from Next look; I'm thinking of having them on the windowsill next to the shabby chic frame and a pretty smelling candle. I want the white wicker basket for keeping my Lush bath bombs in and I'm so excited to finally be able to put canvases, frames, mirrors, shelves etc up on the walls :)

I'd love to know what you think of these homeware bits and if you have any recommendations for me <3 I've got a day off work today and am just having a relaxing day on the sofa as my pain levels have sky rocketed the past couple of days, probably because I've been getting a little stressed with all the moving stuff. It's so lovely to have a browse online and plan what I want to buy for the new place though :) I'm off to have a soak in the bath now and then I'm going to tuck into some cheesy garlic bread for lunch (yum!) and watch a couple of films. Sometimes you just have to take that time for yourself to unwind and refresh.

Love Holly xo

  1. I really hope that everything comes together with the new flat! Buying is so much more exciting than renting because you can do exactly what you want! I love the kitchen ware range that you have chosen, the little bowl is so cute! :P Sorry to hear that your pain levels are so bad, it sounds like some 'me time' is just what you need! :) You will have to keep us updated on whether or not the purchase goes through. I've got my fingers crossed for you!

  13. I haven't been in Dunelm for far too long and that floral kitchen range has just reminded me of why I really need to get myself in there again. I also really like Matalan, BHS and Primark for homeware; Primark bedding is especially good value for money!
