FINDING MY PERFECT FOUNDATION (FINALLY!)

L'Oreal True Match Foundation £9.99
After seeing this foundation raved about by several of my favourite beauty bloggers and youtubers I couldn't resist trying it when I received a £2.50 off voucher in the free box of goodies Boots have been giving you when you spend over £14.99 on L'Oreal products this past month. I had pretty high expectations as I've only heard good things about it and I loved the satin feel and consistency of it when I tested some on my hand in Boots. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and it is honestly the best foundation I've ever tried; it blends so easily and flawlessly and I find myself using a lot less product than I usually do as it gives such amazing coverage. It gives a very fresh and dewy look which I love but I do have to pop some powder over the top as I have combination skin so I don't want my nose and forehead to look too shiny throughout the day. It's staying power is what makes me love it so much; it just doesn't budge or fade and I find my make-up looks virtually the same at the end of the day as it does in the morning which is pretty damn amazing when you work in retail!!

There are a LOT of different shades which I did find a bit daunting but I just tried the palest one to begin with as I'm a total casper and it looked perfect for me so I just went for it rather than confusing myself by trying lots of different shades. I would definitely say it's a 'true match' for my skin as it's completely undetectable and seems to effortlessly absorb into the skin to give that 'my skin but better' kind of look. I'm really fussy with foundations and always find something that I don't like about them (usually that they become too noticebale on the skin after a couple of hours!) but I just can't fault this one and it's definitely become my holy grail. I think it's seriously impressive for just £9.99 and I love it so much I'd happily pay a lot more than that!

Have you tried this foundation? I'd love to hear what you think of it :)
Love Holly xo

p.s. Happy New Year! I hope 2015 is a wonderful one for you <3

  5. I wish I'd seen this before buying my new foundation haha! I'll have to get it when I run out next, as it sounds like it is really good! I'm also really pale so I'm glad there is a good drugstore foundation out there! Xx

    1. It's so hard when there's so many you want to try isn't it, even though I love this there's still a couple of others I want to give a go but I just can't see me straying from this one now :) Let me know what you think if you do give it a try!

  6. I've tried both this and the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (they're supposedly dupes), and to be fair the GA one is superior, but for everyday use the L'oreal one is amazzzing. It really does last ages on the skin. I just wish it was more dewy!
